Things that don't exist...

Having "Things that don't exist" as a theme this week has definitely been fun. (Yes, I know - we haven't been updating like we said we would - blogging FAIL) Instead of doing a mass-update and putting up the last three weeks work, we're going to feed you one tantalizing post-it a day, starting with the most recent. Look forward to the rest of the "Things that don't exist" set - featuring Manfish, Trogdor, TableCat and something equally fantastic starting with the letter "F" to be drawn tomorrow. In addition to that, we also have a weeks worth of "Minerals" and "Boring objects made in to awesome things". Cheers!

Turtle Tuesday!

I'm starting to run out of interesting (and by that I mean "easy") animals that start with the letter "T" - the perils of having Tuesday AND Thursday during the workweek. I mananged to sneak this in before our project meeting this morning, and left it on Lauren's keyboard for her. The antenas were an intentional mistake - the turtle was just too damn boring without them. Most of the other animals have "real" mistakes... I knew this was wrong. Creative licence, I say! To quote the one and only Lauren - "these post-its are the highlight of my day"... yahoo!

In other completely un-drawing related news, I got added to our website at work - and the quote on my profile page is about Lauren. Hysterical.

A little history...

Welcome to the official home of "Post-its for Lauren (by Mira)"... we're thrilled to be sharing our masterpieces with the interweb, and ultimately the world! If you were too lazy to read the "About Us" on the sidebar (which probably means you don't deserve to look at our pretty pictures), here's a little history...

On a rainy, dismal Monday (during a particularly uneventful project meeting at work), Mira started sketching in her notebook and came to the realization that the word "Monday" looked remarkably like the word "Monkey"... they had similar ascenders and descenders, which appealed to her designerly sensibilities. Mira decided that Lauren would appreciate this discovery, so she took her Post-its and proceeded to create what would be the first "Post-it for Lauren (by Mira)". Check back often - there's a new masterpiece created every day!
